About Us
Metropolitan Hospitality Group (Metro Hospitality) has its beginnings in the Carolinas—both North and South. The dream became a reality after our founders visited the town of Beech Mountain to ski during the cold season and hike its picturesque trails in the summer. This stunning location inspired them to form a partnership to create a place that could be enjoyed year-round, regardless of the season. The next step was to find a property large enough to house this lofty dream, and they found the perfect location—a place filled with the harmonious language of beautiful terrain and breathtaking views, courtesy of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
Because one founder lived in North Carolina and the other in Charleston, a blended cuisine quickly became the focal point of the venture, with high country cuisine representing North Carolina’s mountains and low country cuisine representing Charleston. And thus, GEORGEANS RESTAURANT AND WINE BAR was born.
At GEORGEANS, we employ live-fire cooking methods and hardwood primal cooking techniques to create a unique and approachable dining experience. Our guests can also choose from a selection of new and old world wines from the region. Everything at GEORGEANS lives up to our planet-to-plate philosophy. And soon, the building containing the restaurant will also house Overlook Day Spa, Beech Mountain Grocery and Fresh Market, and future ventures. Metro Hospitality believes that Beech Mountain speaks to our innate nature to be close to the earth and enjoy its bounty.
